Our house and "The Boys"

here is a copy of the email i sent out, in case i missed you:

friends and family -
ben and i had an interesting week! as many of you know, we had tried to sell our home last year with NO success. so we embarked on a large remodel which added 2 additional bedrooms (above grade) and a fully-functional master suite.
we were in the early stages of refinancing last week, when a local realtor called our old realtor and asked if we would be willing to sell our house, although it has not been on the market since august! we dicussed with our realtor, came up with a price, and she showed up. the next morning she sent us an offer. we countered back and forth for a while, but finally yesterday, she decided to walk.
we love our home now and really don't want to move, but after discussing with our realtor (who is VERY convinced that we have a much more marketable product this time around), we have decided to list the home on the open market for 4-6 weeks and see what happens.
although we REALLY don't want to move, we recognize that this could be an answer to prayers and is a much better solution to our financial problems than the refinance. the refi (because the amount of equity that would need to be pulled is just over 20%) was going to be extremely pricy.
so, keep your fingers crossed for us and keep us in your prayers for the next little while. if it does not sell, then we will proceed with the refinance. i know some of you have been following our progress of the additions on our blog. so here is a link to the mls pictures. disregard the "outside shot" that is an old one. i'll post a new outside shot once the porch is complete. http://www.laramiemls.com/Default.aspx?tabid=40&srchtype=def&h=1&vw=dtl&lid=PoMTjuvpaCk%3d&digest=hM2MfkJbM1lhAAvk2MtKTg#r

This is a picture of Vance because sometimes I think he is SO cute that it makes me want to cry!

The boys in their St. Patricks Day shirts that their "Nanny" sent them. Needless to say, they did NOT get pinched!
