Football and Liliya

 Vance's football season has come to a close, and he was a SUPERSTAR! Especially on defense. I didn't like to take any videos because then I couldn't enjoy the show! But I took a few on the last game. This was by no means his best tackle, as he had so many EVERY game...but you'll get the idea :) He is on the maroon team with the bright orange sleeves, #98.

He totally taught himself this, I swear! I was not involved at all! He just said one day, "Mom, want to see me do a back hand spring?"

Ben's Fight, Drake's Fat Lip, and The Amazing Aunt Wendy!

Ben had his 2nd professional fight on Friday and he won very decisively! I was not there and they did not allow video, but they posted some pics on their website...I would not want to be on the receiving end of any of those punches!!!

Drake slipped on the stairs and put his tooth right through his lip :( I know this shouldn't be funny....but check out that lip! That is day 2...

My parents and my Sister-In-Law, Wendy, came for a visit last week. We had lots of fun, and let me tell you...Wendy is SOOOOO talented! I'll post a few of things, but know that there are more, I just didn't want my post to be CRAZY LONG!

She did "mag-pag" (i'm sure i'm spelling that wrong) on the "L" and vinyl for the rest. She did the headband Liliya is wearing as well as the little "shoes."

Grandpa Bill arrived on Friday to stay with us. He had done a 52 day cross-country motorcycle trip and this is what his motorcycle looked like when he got here!

All the headbands Wendy did for Liliya...I think she'll be set until she grows a full head of hair!

Drake thinks it's funny that Liliy's lace-y booties that Wendy made fit on his fingers :) Note the cut above his eye...we cannot keep this boy in one piece!!!

My parents and my sister-in-law, Wendy, came for a visit to see little Liliya. Wendy is soooo good with babies and she made Liliya smile for the first time ever!

The dining room is almost done! The walls are painted, the floor is in! It just needs trim and some work on the windows. Also, the parlor is coming along. It too is painted, floors refinished, wall paper is up on the ceiling and we bought a cool victorian sofa to complete the look! It just needs some work on the windows and the ceiling faux painted for the "pressed tin" look  Enjoy...

Before...you can't tell from the picture but the floor is covered with urine stains..yuck!

Walls are painted! Rust for the library, chocolate for the dining room. Thank you Barb and Geenie :)

Mommy about to get busy!

It took me a solid 15 hours, but I laid the floors ALL BY MYSELF! It ended up being about a day and a half as I had to take nursing breaks every 2 hours during daylight :)

Our first meal in the new dining room! Our little round table look mighty small in this grand dining room :)

Liliya, do you like eating at the table? Yes, eating on our laps the last 8 weeks really stunk, huh?

Here is the fun couch we found for the parlor. It is called a "conversation sofa."
